23" Dark Complex Ride weighing 2849g. Boasting a beautiful hand shaped low profile bell. Extensively hammered and fully lathed. Dark patina.
Prominent stick click and subdued smokey wash with full spectrum crash tones.
This is the first ride I am featuring that is a product of a combination of extensive pneumatic hammering coupled with hand hammering final shaping and fine tuning. The pneumatic hammer allows me to achieve complete compression of the bronze across the entire cymbal, from bell to edge.
No portion of this cymbal remains raw or unhammered, which produces a very pleasing and rich tonality. Hand hammering imparts as much (or as little) complexity as I want, as well as fine tuning the final sound, shape and tension. The completely hand formed bell provides a dark, mellow complexity only found in hand formed bells.
I think the combination of these new production elements has produced some of my finest creations yet.
